NZ’s best designers – this is your moment!
Each year our furniture and homeware Design Awards – sponsored by our friends at Fisher & Paykel – celebrate the best work by New Zealand’s most talented designers.
Now we’re calling for entries for our Design Awards 2016. The winner and finalists will receive a $3000 Fisher & Paykel appliance of their choice, and be published online and in our magazine in early August. Entry details are at the bottom of this post.
A refresher: Last year’s winner was the beautiful ‘Torchon’ pendant light by Cheshire Architects for Resident.
The ‘Torchon’ is made in a fiery rush by glass artist Luke Jacomb in an unassuming little shed in west Auckland. You can see this amazing process this clip.
Here are the other finalists in last year’s Design Awards. We look forward to showcasing more New Zealand beauty and ingenuity this year.
