1. Jardin of Eden

Pay homage to Yves Saint Laurent’s enchanting Marrakesh retreat, Jardin Majorelle, with this new collection by costume and production designer Catherine Martin.

An eclectic collection of luxury textiles, trimmings and wallpaper, Majorelle, the fourth collaboration between Catherine Martin and Mokum, is inspired by exotic faraway lands as well as Catherine’s own French heritage.

Having spent years working alongside Australian film-maker Baz Luhrmann on the set design for movies including Moulin Rouge, Romeo + Juliet and Strictly Ballroom, the award-winning designer’s eye for the luxurious is exemplified in these fabrications.

Think plush velvets, animal skins, tropical palms and a hint of Art Deco. “This is a collection that’s meant to be both glamorous and playful,” she says.

2. Monochrome modern

Formal yet informal; refined yet casual; contrasting yet complementary; the opposing nature of black and white is at the heart of the Complexity collection by James Dunlop.

Complexity is a stunning range of highly technical, contrasting black and white fabrics.  The individual designs within Complexity utilise black to form focal points with white creating negative space for other design elements to take centre stage.

Complexity’s universal appeal will provide a range of simple yet extremely effective fabric solutions.

COMPLEXITY  – Outdoor indoor upholstery

Perfectly suited to our Antipodean lifestyle, these upholstery designs can move from indoor to outdoor seamlessly.
