The Block NZ: Week one kids room reveal
The competition kicked off to a dramatic start this week on The Block NZ with the judges awarding some of the worst and best scores in history. The first challenge the teams faced was completing a kids bedroom. While the pressure got to some teams others nailed their design briefs. We take a tour through their room reveals and discover where to get the look.
If you missed out on the judge’s comments last night, don’t worry. We’ve rounded up how everyone scored below:
Watch the judges comment on Ling and Zing’s 3-year-old girl’s room
Ling and Zing’s colourful banter couldn’t save them from the judges calling their room “boring” and scoring them a six.
Watch the judges comment on Julia and Ali‘s 6-year-old boy’s room
A missing door, slighly off colour combo and interesting light feature didn’t do identical twins Julia and Ali any favours and the judges awarded them an abysmal one.
Watch the judges comment on Stace and Yanita‘s 13-year-old boy’s room
Stace and Yanita’s teenage boys room fell flat with the judges and the splattered paint on the carpet left them with a lukewarm score of 11.5 out of 20.
Watch the judges comment on Andy and Nate‘s 16-year-old girl’s room
Although they were slightly apprehensive with the room they were assigned, Andy and Nate won the judges over with their creative feature ceiling and slick finishing touches.
