Here’s what happened at Simply You’s Colour My Life event in Auckland
On the last Friday of September, Simply You magazine’s readers and experts came together for an exceptional long lunch in Auckland’s inner city.
Held in the Wintergarden of The Northern Club, a modern extension by Fearon Hay Architects, the setting was complete with larger-than-life crystal chandeliers and exquisite table settings with peacock bouquets by The Botanist, inspired by Resene’s latest colour chart.
On a stage designed by Simply You director Marcel Gull, straight from the pages of the magazine, our interior experts – Resene colour consultant Sarah Gregory, BoConcept interior design consultant Edward Woolhouse and Carpet Court design ambassador Jane Carolan – joined a panel discussion about the latest interior trends, from how to layer luxury in our homes to creating a modern coastal feel.
Marcel was then joined by Caci Clinic’s skincare specialist Linda Sharrem and national trainer Brandy Wehinger to talk about everything from protecting your skin to ageless fillers and Botox.
To complete the event, Simply You’s fashion editor Louise Hilsz styled a carnival-inspired fashion show with the latest looks from local fashion designers, each look completed with fabulous headpieces from New Zealand fashion royalty, Kevin Berkahn.
