Space Division Architects

Environmentally-friendly and succinct designs are at the heart of all Space Division’s creations. With a client-focused design process, they strive to achieve carefully considered and clever architecture for all of their briefs. With an aim to positively impact not only their clients but also the surrounding communities is at the forefront of their brand promise.

Adopting a ‘no job is too small’ attitude has enabled the firm to acquire a varied portfolio including but not limited to; playhouses, urban infrastructure, and commercial developments. The practices clever compound solution to their existing globally-acclaimed Stradwick House in Mount Albert is reflective of this.

The original 125 meters squared home they had designed proved too small for the now-teenage children, and director Marc Lithgow comprised a clever solution. The addition is respectful and allows the family more space without compromising the existing structure. The aim was to create “multiple spaces and fluidity of space”, which has certainly been achieved.
