How to style your home with a modern country interior
For some, finding out what style you want to apply to your surrounding is a totally organic process, while for others, research and planning is what interior design is all about. Ultimately you need to find a design language for your spaces, and this can be as simple as listening to your inner voice and asking: “Does this feel right?” You need to learn to trust your instincts.
My vision of modern country would be a contemporary take on a pared-back country style. This environment features some nature-inspired touches but has moved on from clichés such as pot-pourri with woodchips and rose petals and is intrinsically warm and personal.
Think milky white shades grounded by wood and other natural textures, as well as more modern elements such as concrete, marble and metal. These interior spaces should be about texture and layering and exhibit a carefully curated air when it comes to styling.
Make this your mission statement and treat it like a prescription when buying furniture and decor items. This will help you every step of the way.
