The kitchen and outdoor courtyard have become favourite spaces for family and friends to congregate and the surrounding garden provides a private oasis to relax in.

A large bi-fold window was incorporated into the south wall to create a breakfast nook.

The table light from Who Did That creates a lovely ambience and mimics the coffee table and curved elements throughout the home.

The original Axminster carpet finds new life as a hallway runner – a token to the home’s era. Simplifying the light fittings and surrounding decor palette creates visual harmony to the lounge room.

The candy stripe colours used on the vertical tongue-and-groove panelling in this part of the kitchen add a little something vintage. The colours are easily changeable to satisfy new seasonal flavours and inspirations, Rachael says.

The trestle table in Rachael’s office is laminate plywood on metal legs and is great for working on projects. The original ‘Job’ poster was given to Rachael by Jeff for her birthday.

The bathroom was always going to get a new lease of life. Rachael and Jeff added nature-inspired tiles to the space.

The freestanding baker’s rack provides additional storage, while not cluttering the space. It also adds visual interest.
