This Auckland family used statement wallpaper, blonde wood accents and a touch of greenery to create a modern, Scandinavian inspired new loo
This Auckland loo got a Scandinavian inspired makeover
Who lives here? A family in Auckland.
What was the space like before? The room was basically the same size but we pushed the handbasin wall further out so it was flush with the door. There was a small cabinet where the mirror is now, which we removed as we keep all the cleaning products in the laundry.
What did you do to make it over? Everything is new except the toilet and mirror. The walls have been relined, we installed new lighting, and the window architrave has been redone (the window is original). We also put in a new basin and added the shelves and wallpaper.
Biggest challenge? Thankfully, we had none.
What do you think of the room now? We absolutely love the space – it has a lovely Scandinavian feel and we’re super happy with the wallpaper.
Budget: $2400 (excludes structural work)
